The Hospital Project:
Only at Johns Hopkins Engineering
In partnership with one of the world’s most notable health systems, from day one, you will start your degree with a consulting project aimed at improving health care in the Johns Hopkins Hospital enterprise in the Strategies for Innovation and Growth course.
The Hospital Project allows students to examine challenges and develop solutions through recommendations, written reports, and prototypes to improve the safety and efficiency of hospital care.

For example, students have produced educational materials to train hospital staff on the proper use of new technology, designed a prototype to detect whether patients might be exposing their home oxygen therapy equipment to an open flame, and so much more.
